Adana Culinary Culture Center "Gastro Academy"
The main objective of the project is to foster the promotion of Adana Culinary Culture through improving access to gastronomy values and strengthening the production, distribution and dissemination of gastronomy activities in accordance with the UCCN Mission Statement objectives.
Adana has been home to different cultures. Hence, there are many actors that play a significant role in the creative field of gastronomy, including NGOs, institutions, and cooperatives. With the project, an existing building in the city center will be restored and renovated to be used as Gastro Academy of the city, acting as a facilitator for sustainable development in the sector. In Gastro Academy, Local Delicacies Test Kitchen, Meat Processing Workshop, Cake and Pastry Workshop, Show Kitchen, Documentation Unit, Multipurpose Hall, Theoretical Education Class, Library, Foyer and Gallery Area, Mini Garden Area and Restaurant will be established.
A wide range of professional and informal trainings and workshop studies in gastronomy will be conducted. Furthermore, the cooperation between public institutions and organizations, NGOs and media organizations will be increased. Adana Metropolitan Municipality has already developed and presented the project for funding.
