Docuseries of UCCN Gastronomy Cities
The main objective of the project is to promote world cuisines and to increase international cultural dialogue by taking advantage of creative field of film’s dissemination power, which is in line with the UCCN Mission Statement objectives such as strengthening international cooperation between cities, and promotion of the gastronomy heritages.
Adana will start an international program that will include different gastronomy cities of UCCN on a voluntary basis, where their cultural heritages will be disseminated through a series of documentaries that are to be filmed. Within these films, as the main carrier of the gastronomy heritage, lives of people and their routine will be the main theme. Meals, production processes, consumption patterns will also be shared within the docuseries.
In the scope of the project, at least 10 episodes will be shot in the first year and every episode will contain a different city of gastronomy under the UCCN. The cities will be determined among those willing, mutually through a participatory method. Documentary series will be released in online platforms, such as Youtube, Blue Tv, Netflix and they will also be made available in the Adana UCCN website.
Thus, international cultural dialogue will be supported, and cuisines and the cultures of gastronomy cities will be promoted. In addition, the current values will be archived and preserved from the danger of disappearing. Gastronomy cities, gastronomy professionals and general audience will be the direct beneficiaries of the project.
