The 8th International Taste of Adana Festival, which opened its doors this year with the theme of \u201cAdana with its Roots\u201d, gave thousands of people a magnificent feast of taste for four days.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section data-particle_enable=\"false\" data-particle-mobile-disabled=\"false\" class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-3e745a8 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"3e745a8\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-0de0b53\" data-id=\"0de0b53\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ba62d26 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ba62d26\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>ADANA FLAVOR FESTIVAL BOOSTED THE ECONOMY<\/strong><\/p><p>Stating that Adana has become an important part of gastronomy tourism, Governor Yavuz Selim K\u00f6\u015fger talked about the contributions of the festival to both the city and the national economy. \u201cThis year&#8217;s festival not only promoted the rich culinary culture, historical and touristic values of our ancient city, but also provided a serious support to Adana&#8217;s economy. More than 800,000 people visited the festival area and an economic activity of 3.7 billion TL was created with the expenditures made by both our citizens in Adana and our guests coming from Turkey and abroad. In addition, we consider that the equivalent contribution of social media and the news in print and visual media is quite high.\u201d<\/p><p><strong>UNFORGETTABLE TRACES OF THE FESTIVAL<\/strong><\/p><p>Governor K\u00f6\u015fger stated that 76 booths were set up at the festival held in the Central Park, 48 of which belonged to women&#8217;s cooperatives and 13 to municipalities, and said, \u201cAdana is a city with a very rich culinary culture that should not be associated only with kebab. However, kebab and turnip, which are the first flavors that come to mind when it comes to Adana, attracted great attention at the festival. This year, approximately 500 thousand shish kebabs and 400 thousand bottles of turnips were consumed.\u201d<\/p><p>Governor K\u00f6\u015fger stated that their efforts will continue to promote Adana&#8217;s rich culinary culture both nationally and internationally and said, \u201cThe 8th International Taste of Adana Festival was an unforgettable event thanks to the hospitality of the people of Adana, the care of our companies and the efforts of everyone who supported it. As a city that has adopted the festival culture, we are proud to have successfully completed this organization. I would like to thank our municipalities, chambers, professional organizations, non-governmental organizations, sponsors, press members, influencers and all the people of Adana who have contributed to this process. I believe that Taste of Adana Festival will continue as a brand for years to come.\u201d<\/p><p><strong>HISTORICAL MOMENTS AND FLAVORS THAT REMAIN ON THE PALATE<\/strong><\/p><p>The festival included many events such as the Agriculture Summit, the presentation of Adana cuisine and street flavors, chef presentations, interviews, food competitions, special presentations by Michelin-starred chefs, tasting events and an award-winning festival run.<\/p><p>Governor K\u00f6\u015fger emphasized that the festival made its impact felt not only in Adana but also in neighboring provinces: \u201cDuring the festival, all 13 thousand bed capacities of Adana&#8217;s hotels were filled. Occupancy rates in hotels in neighboring provinces and districts such as Tarsus and Mersin also increased significantly.
