Gastronomy Museum

The main objective of the project is to foster the promotion of Adana Cuisine and its history through strengthening the dissemination of gastronomy values in accordance with the UCCN Mission Statement objectives.

Adana Municipality will construct a museum for the dissemination and promotion of the Adana cuisine. In the museum, historical kitchenware, agricultural tools, dishes, ingredients and recipes will be presented to the public in an interactive manner. The historical development of the Adana cuisine and its background will be represented with their original stories of cooking and tools in the museum.

The museum will be new infrastructure to support transmission of the gastronomical heritage for the next generations. Furthermore, national and international tourists will learn about the daily routine of Adana cuisine. Adana Metropolitan Municipality, Çukurova Touristic Hoteliers Association, Adana Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, and District Municipalities will be the stakeholder institutions of the project.
