International Gastronomy Summit
The main objective of the project is to increase international cultural dialogue through sharing experiences and best practices of the gastronomy field which is in line with the UCCN Mission Statement objectives such as strengthening international cooperation between cities, stimulating and enhancing initiatives, and developing innovation opportunities.
As a Mediterranean city, Adana will start an international summit to increase share of know- how and cultural heritage among UCCN gastronomy cities in the Mediterranean region. All the gastronomy cities will be invited to the summit that is to be organized in a yearly basis and the organization will be conducted in harmony with the UCCN procedures. In every organisation, exchange of know how will be ensured and made public through professional summit platform that will lead an increase in cultural dialogue between gastronomy cities both at regional and international levels. Each program will have a theme that is to be determined with the cities and different features of the cuisines will be discussed regularly. In addition to the UCCN cities, famous chefs, and cuisine representatives will be invited to honour the programme.
The summit will be organized in cooperation with Gaziantep, Hatay and Afyonkarahisar as the gastronomy cities of Turkey.
