Gastronomy Experience Hub

Adana’s cuisine reflects the diverse traditions of its communities, offering a unique culinary heritage. The project aims to preserve this heritage through education, research, production and innovation, focusing on safeguarding Adana’s culinary legacy, promoting sustainable food practices and supporting professional development for chefs and entrepreneurs.

Key partners include Adana Metropolitan Municipality, Cukurova University, the Cukurova Chefs Association, Adana Chamber of Commerce and Governorship of Adana. The hub’s development will involve architects, urban planners and community stakeholders, fostering collaboration with municipal authorities, culinary institutes, NGOs and industry participants.

The hub will provide advanced cooking trainings and regional dishes in a restaurant, cultivate local products, research forgotten recipes, establish a culinary museum and conduct R&D for innovative culinary products. It will also promote sustainable food systems through waste reduction, recycling and zero-waste cooking methods.

The center will feature training programs, a workshop area, a local restaurant, a digital documentation unit, a molecular gastronomy lab, a museum and a small greenhouse. Expected outcomes include increasing Adana’s visibility in the UCCN Gastronomy field, empowering local food producers and promoting sustainable culinary practices globally.
