Commensality is a living culture in Adana for centuries. Most of the historical restaurants have closed their doors because of economical reasons or problems experienced during third generations, etc. or have been transferred to other hands.

Historical restaurants that have kept their doors open for more than 50 years are listed below chronologically. Some of these restaurants have served for more than 100 years and they are still at service.
